Xiaomi Lunanches Redmi Note 2 and Redmi Note 2 Prime with MIUI 7
Xiaomi has announced two variants of Redmi Note series the Redmi Note 2 and Redmi Note 2 prime alongside showcasing its new MIUI 7 custom ROM based on Android 5.0 Lollipop at an event in Beijing, China. The Redmi Note 2 comes in two variants 3G and 4G support. 3G variant will cost at CNY 799 (approximately Rs. 8,000) and 4G-LTE priced at CNY 899 (approximately Rs. 9,000) and Redmi Note 2 Prime priced at CNY 999 (approximately Rs. 10,000). Unfortunately, the company hasn't revealed availability plans for other markets yet
The Redmi Note 2 comes in 3G and 4G variants is the LTE connectivity support, and the rest of the specifications are the same. And Redmi Note 2 Prime features a higher clocked processor and comes in only 32GB inbuilt storage variant. All the three new handsets run Android 5.0 Lollipop with Xiaomi's new MIUI 7 skin.
Under the hood, the Redmi Note 2 features a 5.5-inch (1080x1920 pixels) full-HD display. it is powered by 2GHz MTK Flagship Helio X10 processor, Octa-core 64-bit, and A53 architecture CPU and coupled with 2GB of RAM. The phone comes with 16GB inbuilt storage and other word No expand storage option. The Redmi Note 2 Prime has a higher-clocked 2.2GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 Helio X10 processor. And device will be available 32GB onboard storage, a large 3,060mAh removable battery along with quick charge support. It supports both TDD & FDD 4G dual-SIM. And most impotently, it comes with MIUI 7 based on Android 5.0!
The Redmi Note 2 and Prime Features a 13-megapixel Samsung rear-facing camera, which offers the Phase Detection Autofocus function, 0.1s focus speed, and a 5-element lens with f/2.2 aperture. The handset also houses a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with OmniVision.
