LG launches G Pad II 10.1 with Android 5.1 Lollipop

The South Korean company has announced that the new LG G Pad II 10.1, will be showcased at the upcoming IFA event in Berlin next month. The tablet comes in LTE and Wi-Fi variants and will go on sale in markets in North America, Europe and Asia.

For specifications, the LG G Pad II 10.1 comes with a 10.1-inch WUXGA display, with resolution of 1920x1200 pixels, offering a pixel density of 224ppi. The Tablet powered by a 64-bit quad-core 2.26GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor along with 2GB of RAM under the hood. Android 5.1.1 Lollipop based tablet comes with 16GB of inbuilt-storage which further can be expandable storage via microSD card.

The LG G Pad II 10.1 sports a 5-megapixel rear camera while there is a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, is backed by a 7,400mAh battery, connectivity options LG G Pad II 10.1 includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS and a microUSB port with USB OTG support.

Announcing the launch, Chris Yie, vice president and head of marketing communications for LG Mobile Communications Company said, "The LG G Pad II 10.1 was developed in response to consumers' feedback and optimised for multimedia consumption. Customers asked for a large display, bigger battery and faster performance all without raising the price. The G Pad II delivers on all counts."
